Notices

・Since natural wood is used, the grain is different for each piece. Please understand that this is a characteristic of the material. ・Since natural lacquer is used, the color may vary. Lacquer does not dry without humidity. We control humidity and temperature, but the color may vary depending on the day it is applied. Please understand that this is a characteristic of lacquer. ・Since natural lacquer is used, in rare cases, depending on your constitution, you may experience an allergic reaction. ・Do not use for any purpose other than chopsticks. ・The usable period will vary depending on how it is handled and the environment. ・Since it is a wooden product, expansion, bending, and cracking may occur. ・Chopsticks are consumables. Replace them if they are damaged.

Yukinohana by Hashimoto Kosaku Shikkiten—an established lacquerware studio in Wajima, Ishikawa—is a pair of refined, charming, and stylish chopsticks that express the beauty of Japan’s four seasons through lacquer art.

Crafted from Noto’s celebrated Hiba wood and coated with natural lacquer, each piece is carefully made by hand using the painting and finishing techniques preserved for more than 70 years in this long-standing chopstick workshop.

Multiple layers of lacquer are applied and finished with dry lacquer powder using the traditional kanshitsu method, creating a surface that is highly resistant to wear.
The chopsticks have a smooth, velvety texture, are easy to grip, and offer exceptional usability.

Thanks to lacquer’s natural antibacterial properties, they can be used safely and with peace of mind.
Perfect for everyday meals, they also make thoughtful gifts for weddings, longevity celebrations, or for sending abroad.

The delicate design—reminiscent of snowflakes softly blossoming like flowers as they fall through the clear winter air—pairs beautifully with any tableware.

With the reassurance and quality of true Japanese craftsmanship, Yukinohana brings a touch of elegance to your daily table while honoring tradition in a way that feels right at home in modern life.
