For regular delivery, we will ship the product within 14 business days from the date of your order (the date your order is sent to us from this website), unless there are special circumstances, such as when the workshop or craft manufacturer is on a long-term business trip for an exhibition, etc. (This does not apply to some areas, such as remote islands.) *If there is a delay due to various circumstances, we will contact you by email, etc. *The shipping date will be notified in the "Product Shipping Completion Email" at the time of shipping.

Handling

If the pottery is dry and comes into contact with dark liquids, it may become discolored, so before using it, soak the pottery in rice water or wheat flour in a large bowl or pot for a day and night. If you put the pottery away in a cupboard without drying it thoroughly, mold may grow on the surface, so if you are not going to use it for a long time, please dry it thoroughly before putting it away. Pottery has fine cracks on the surface due to the shrinkage rate (how it shrinks when fired) of the "craze" and the "glaze" on top. Tea stains and lye will be attached to the cracks over time, giving it a completely different feel from the original texture. Enjoying this is one way to enjoy pottery. It will last longer if you do not use it in the microwave. When using it in the dishwasher, make sure it does not come into contact with other pottery. The back side is polished with sandpaper, but if you drag it over glass or wooden products, it will scratch the glass or wood, so please do not drag it over them.

Notices

・Since pottery is made from natural materials, the color and size may vary slightly depending on the time of your order. ・The texture will change with prolonged use. ・Pottery is highly absorbent and breathable, and if left with water in it, water may seep out from the bottom as if sweating. ・The bottom is polished before shipping, but dragging pottery over glass or painted products may cause scratches. ・Do not place over direct heat. ・Please handle with care as this is a characteristic of pottery.

The Pelican Teapot®, a signature product of Shinroku-gama, founded in 1955, was born from a request from a wholesaler seeking a teapot suitable for bancha tea. The distinctive spout, shaped like a pelican's beak, has many holes through which tea can pass, making it less likely to clog and making pouring easier. The large spout is designed so that tea gathers in the center, and the lid can be placed on the spout. Enjoy a relaxing moment with a cup of hot tea in the incredibly easy-to-use Pelican Teapot.
