This cypress lunch box from the brand "NUSA" is packed with the charm of a new sanbo that brings traditional sanbo to modern life. Craftsmen at Iwata Sanbo Seisakusho, which has been making sanbo for 300 years, have been using the techniques of the ancient Japanese Shinto rituals and moon-viewing events, to handcraft each one.
The holes on the sides, called kurikata (eyes), unique to the three-sided design, make it easy to open and close, while also highlighting the unique design. The rare Kiso cypress, which Iwata Sanbo Seisakusho has used since the Edo period, is light, has a smooth texture with fine grain, and is very easy to hold. Its high antibacterial properties and excellent moisture absorption make it extremely practical, keeping rice delicious. The subtle cypress scent, which pairs well with rice, will whet your appetite. Resistant to cracking and shrinkage, it's a product you'll want to treasure for many years to come.
If you stick one of the six included stickers on the main body, the color that peeks through the window will allow you to distinguish the owner and type of lunch box even when the lid is closed, so we recommend buying multiple units.
The BENTO+ series comes with dividers, so you can use it to store side dishes, etc.
