KURIKYU's bento boxes are made from Akita cedar, which has beautiful, straight grain and a gentle, warm feel to it.

Thinly shaved boards are boiled in hot water to soften them, then rolled into a cylinder and glued together. The boards are then sewn together with wild cherry bark and attached to the bottom board.

It has excellent water absorption and moisture retention properties and does not condense, so it is possible to maintain the quality of the sugar for a long time without it hardening.

The mountain cherry bark used to secure the dish and the included wooden spoon add a stylish accent to any dining table.
