Founded in Higashiyama, Kyoto in the mid-Edo period, this compact knife is made by Kyoto blacksmith Yoshisada, who has handed down his advanced knife-making techniques for approximately 360 years.
Although compact, it is as sharp and easy to use as a regular knife.
Rather than just a knife, you can experience the sharpness of a kitchen knife.
In addition to peeling fruit and chopping condiments, it is also great for camping, BBQs , and home parties.
The blade is made of steel that is sharp and easy to resharpen.
The sheath (case) is made of zelkova.
The simple design integrates the handle and blade to allow you to appreciate the beauty of the blade pattern. Because it is one piece, it is easy to wash and keep clean.
It also has a "just right weight" that is not too light and easy to cut, giving it a unique sense of luxury.
Despite its compact size, please try out the sharpness of a genuine knife created by a blacksmith.
