Marugo is a long-established manufacturer of jika-tabi that was founded in 1919 in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. The craftsmen there take their time to carefully finish each pair. The toe area in particular requires delicate techniques that can only be achieved by hand, and tradition and skill are alive in this area.

Making use of Marugo's technology, the tabi-style strap shoes "coppelia lily" were born. The appeal of these shoes is their design, which can be used for a wide range of styles, from casual to elegant and feminine. The straps hold the feet firmly in place, so you can wear them with confidence without worrying about them falling off.

In addition, the tabi-style design allows the toes to spread more easily and the toes are less constricted, giving the feeling that the entire sole of the foot is gripping the ground, supporting comfortable and balanced walking. The fabric used is carefully woven velvet. It is characterized by its soft texture and elegant luster, giving it a luxurious finish.

In addition, the shoes are named "coppelia," inspired by the title of a traditional ballet work, and express the hope that "the days of those who wear these shoes will shine like the characters in the story."
