Notices

The cards in the business card holder in the photo are not included.

Crafted from Kurotani washi, a traditional handmade paper with over 800 years of history in Ayabe, Kyoto, this item is a traditional craft nurtured by the rich natural surroundings of the Tanba region.

Each sheet is carefully hand-produced by skilled artisans using only the highest quality kozo (mulberry) as raw material, in a traditional Kyoto workshop that still preserves age-old papermaking methods.

The thick and long kozo fibers are meticulously intertwined by hand, giving the paper outstanding durability. It is resistant to tearing and remains strong even when wet—an especially appreciated feature—ensuring it can be used for many years.

With rich, painterly colors and dynamic designs created through dyeing and hakebiki (brush-stroke) techniques, each piece looks like a work of art. Lightweight and compact, it has a soft texture that fits comfortably in your hand or slips easily into a pocket or bag. Every use allows you to feel the warmth that only washi can offer.

Perfect for everyday use, it also makes a thoughtful gift for special occasions such as job offers, graduations, or other milestones.

This business card holder becomes more supple and develops a beautiful sheen with use, making it a stylish and unique accessory that will stand out in any professional setting.
