The scrubbing brushes are individually handmade by artisans at Kitayama Masatsugu Shoten, and are characterized by their softness, durability, and high cleaning power, which are achieved by using different materials for each purpose and adjusting the density to the optimum level.
This scrubbing brush uses a specially-made palm fiber with strong, hard fibers that are great for scrubbing away stubborn stains, and is great for cleaning iron pots and cutting boards at home, as well as for removing dirt from vegetables and for outdoor activities like BBQ grills. Furthermore, by eliminating the left and right straps found on conventional palm scrubbers, it has been designed so that all four sides can be used.

Cleaning is easy; if you're using it in the kitchen, just pour boiling water over it. Furthermore, drying it in the sun once every week to 10 days will improve its durability. Even if it doesn't dry completely, you can keep it clean by simply hanging it outside. It's also economical because you can reuse it until the fibers wear out, unlike sponges.
