Notices

Since these are handmade, there may be slight differences between individual products.

Founded in Higashiyama, Kyoto in the mid-Edo period, this knife was made by "Kyoto Blacksmith Yoshisada," whose knife-making techniques have been passed down from generation to generation for 360 years.

This value set includes a beautifully designed "Hozugawa" Santoku knife and a paring knife, which have a rippled surface to prevent ingredients from sticking to the blade and making them easier to separate.

[Santoku knife]
This versatile knife is known as a Santoku (cultural) knife because it can be used to cut a wide range of ingredients, including meat, fish, and vegetables, in a variety of ways.

[Petty knife]
A small knife with a blade length of about 9 to 15 cm .
It is suitable for chamfering pumpkins, peeling vegetables and fruits, and slicing cucumbers, onions, etc. It can also be used as a sashimi knife.

It is made of hard steel so it stays sharp for a very long time.
The sharpness can be restored by sharpening, so the knife can be used for 20 to 30 years or more ( 10 to 15 years or more for petty knives ).

It is double-edged, so it can be used by left-handed people as well.

With this great value "Hozugawa 2-piece set," be sure to try out the sharpness of our skilled craftsmen for different purposes.
